Portrait 1
An original work by Anna Chernysheva: an oil portrait. ArtMix studio, Almaty. A muted warm red and ochre palette. The piece is dark in tone. Everything rests on the warm side. The dark mass gathers at the bottom, leaving the top light. The light gathers in the middle of the frame. The palette holds around 8 distinguishable shades. The contrast is moderate: the shadows read without fighting the light. The left and right halves are equal in lightness. The canvas is vertical. A work from the studio portfolio. A similar piece can be painted to order in your own subject and size.
