Round Painting “Vietnam”
Round Painting “Vietnam”, an oil painting by Anna Chernysheva. ArtMix studio, Almaty. A restrained golden yellow palette. The upper part of the frame is denser than the lower. The surface is finely broken up, with a lot of detail. The light gathers at the bottom, in the centre. The palette holds around 10 distinguishable shades. The contrast is moderate: the shadows read without fighting the light. The tone is mid-range, without extremes of dark or light. Warm and cool are held in balance. The canvas is vertical. The piece is in stock: you can see it at the studio and take it home the same day.
